Informate Announces Will Hodgman as New CEO, Opening of Global Headquarters in Seattle to Accelerate Growth
SEATTLE, Nov. 25, 2014 -- Informate Mobile Intelligence, a mobile measurement firm that tracks consumer use and consumption of content, advertising and in-app activity on smart phones and tablets, today announced Will Hodgman as its new CEO. The company also revealed plans to make Seattle its new global headquarters, where it will grow and expand its executive, sales and client service teams in 2015.
"Over the past six years we've built a profitable, high-growth business in Asia and are now in a position to aggressively go after the U.S. market and expand globally," said Informate Founder and President Kedar Sohoni. "Will has the industry experience, leadership and contacts that can help ensure our success."
Hodgman is a leading innovator and serial entrepreneur in the field of digital measurement. In 1998, he launched a digital advertising tracking technology company called AdRelevance which he sold to MediaMetrix in 1999; AdRelevance today is owned by Nielsen. In 2004, he co-founded and launched a mobile measurement company called M:Metrics which he sold to comScore in 2008.
As a pioneer in the first two waves of digital measurement – tracking PC and mobile data services – Hodgman is focused on what he believes is the third and most lucrative measurement wave: m-commerce.
"Over the next four years, smart phones and tablets are expected to drive nearly half of all digital purchases conducted by consumers," said Hodgman. "This is clearly the battleground for the next big wave in digital measurement. In 2015, Informate will offer exactly that -- a comprehensive set of tools that measure mobile media, in-app usage, advertising and commerce."
The company plans to expand its global footprint from seven to fifteen countries in 2015 and 25 by the end of 2016. To help achieve the company's aggressive plans for growth, Hodgman has announced plans to open a new global headquarters in Seattle – a market that's not only rich with potential customers and funding partners, but the world's deepest pool of mobile industry talent.
"We're well-positioned for accelerated growth in 2015 but will need to add the right talent to get us there," said Hodgman. "There is no city in the world that has a deeper and more talented mobile workforce than Seattle and that's going to be a key to our success moving forward."
Founded in 2008, Informate is a privately-held mobile measurement firm with 45 employees worldwide. The company's branded product suite includes Mobile Metering, Consumer Panels in seven countries and Analytics that enable consumer-facing companies to more effectively market to mobile customers who are increasingly using their smart devices to shop and purchase online.
