This week we take a look into News as a category and their access as Websites and Applications on SmartPhones.

Overall, the penetration for News sites was slightly higher than for News apps.

NewsHunt is the most popular News property amongst SmartPhone users, both as an app and as a website. The other top news websites were Google news and Yahoo news.

Our data for November shows that the Reach for News apps was higher amongst those in the 31-40 yr age group and also amongst those belonging to Tele Circle A. Similarly the Reach for News websites was higher amongst older age groups and those belonging to Tele Circle C.
